Another good product from Quaker, the leading brand of oatmeal. This product they have come up with now is an oatmeal, but in a drink. They come in a 250g pack like in the photo I've taken above.

It says in the front of the pack:
- 4-in-1 includes Chocolate, Milk, Oats, and Sugar.
- Gives as much:
     - Fiber as a Bowl of Rice

     - Iron as a serving of Spinach

     - Vitamin B6 as a Banana

     - Calcium as a Glass of Milk

Only 95.8 calories in a 25g serving size. Plus, it gives you a Calcium boost of 300g with 0g Cholesterol for a healthy body and a healthy heart.

So far, I've only seen one flavor, which is the Chocolate one. It's really good. Sometimes, this substitutes as one meal when I'm in a hurry and have no time to cook.

I'm a milk lover. Love drinking milk everyday, every morning. This is one of those chocolate drinks where you not only get a chocolate-y goodness but with the added Quaker Oats to make it a healthy, hearty drink on the go.

Painting is a simple way to give your favorite rooms a facelift. But did you know that the color of your kitchen can affect your appetite? The color blue is a natural appetite suppressant, and studies show that people can eat up to 33% less food in a blue room. Grab a friend and a paint roller and apply a fresh coat of blue paint to your kitchen or dining room walls.

Bonus: Painting is a great arm toner for all those sleeveless tops and dresses!

Before goin' back to working out and starting where I left off (start of Month 2), I thought of resetting Insanity back to Day 1. What?! Well, you read the title right! I know, I know! I'm goin' to the more intense part, Month 2 but chickened out? My answer is no. My reason is simply because I have been in a "plateau" for a week or 2 after my knee felt sore from working out (I think it was due to bad cushioning of landing from jumping back down too hard). It wouldn't feel right seeing the 30-day guarantee but I keep on extending the days because of nonsense excuses. That isn't a guarantee anymore. Seems like I'm not serious even if I say I am. But it doesn't show in my actions. So here's how it'll go then. Since I really wanna do this and want to be healthy and in the best shape of my life, I will be starting Day 1 on June 1, 2011. Yes, there it is! I have a date, the 1st day of the next month! And I mean it this time around. I am determined and committed to do it no questions or second thoughts. But my Fit Tests for Month 1 won't change since it would be unfair for Month 2 if I redo it since I improved on my reps and that would alter the original fit test results. Before photos and body measurements will change dated as of the date I have mentioned (June 1). Diet is another struggle. For now, even if I won't be able to follow most meals in the Elite Nutrition Guide, I hope this time I'd do well in eating a healthier diet and to improvise with the food available on hand here at home due to budget restraints. So, who's with me? This is where it's at! This is real this time! Hope there won't be any obstacles again to make me go "plateau" and start digging deeper everyday! Healthy & fit lifestyle here we come! Let's go be in the best shape of our lives!

If you have read my previous post, "Workout Postponed," I postponed my workout to INSANITY because our PC monitor died. And after 5 days, we finally got a new monitor and replaced our dead CRT monitor with a widescreen LED monitor! Here I am testing it out, so crisp and clear!

I'm excited to start my Week 2 right about now! I'm back and ready to dig deep!

Today was supposed to be Day 8 of my workout, the start of my Week 2. Unfortunately, I have bad news for me! Our PC monitor is busted! I won't be able to workout to INSANITY! As of today, I have no choice but to postpone my workout program 'til I don't know when, but I hope it's soon! As of the moment, I'm typing this on my brother's phone just so I could update on what's happening. Like I said, daily basis. I guess this means I'll be having a gap due to a technical problem. But once we do something about our PC monitor, I'll jump back in to where I left off. Sorry, but I have stop my workout here first. But will continue to diet. I'll be sure to update you all if I'm back on track. Please don't stop supporting and reading my daily blog journal. Just like what Terminator says, "I'll be back!"

1st Rest Day! I can say now that I actually survived my 1st week of INSANITY! Still adjusting to the workout routine especially the push-ups! My core isn't too strong yet to do numerous push-ups but I'm trying! I'm happy I pulled through the 1st week and didn't give up. And here I end my 1st week. Tomorrow starts week 2. Let's do this!

2nd time to do Plyometric Cardio Circuit. This workout was also done on Day 2. And Day 2 I could've even finish half of the level 1 drills, ski abs, and in and out abs. But, I pushed myself to finish the workout. Just like Shaun T says, "It doesn't matter how many you make, as long as you don't lose your form."

When Shaun T meant Pure Cardio, it was pure! Pure sweat and my body felt like it was gonna tear down because of the nonstop workout! I can feel my heart rate pump up and my whole body ache throughout the workout, while trying to get my breathing going! No water breaks in between the actual workout but you can rest and drink water when needed. That's what I did, then continued to finish the workout. I made a puddle of sweat on the floor doing this workout. See how insane this is? And I'm holding on week 1. My body needs to heal fast!

Cardio Recovery was Day 4 of my workout. My body still aches from Day 1, plus I don't take any form of Recovery Formula to let my body heal faster. Anyone has tips on alternatives for a Recovery Drink or Food after working out?

So it doesn't feel much like a recovery but it was easier to work out to compared to my previous 3 days of INSANITY. My friend was right, the leg lunges pretty much burned I had to rest in between lunges! Good thing with added stretchings for a recovery, it made the workout a little bit relaxing with control & breathing too, but still with the dripping sweat!

Pure Cardio for tomorrow Day 5. Oh yes! Let's do this though my body aches!

Day 3 was Cardio Power & Resistance workout. Body aches all over and I'm only on my 3rd day! I don't drink any Recovery Formula due to a tight budget. Anyway, about the workout, I had to rest a lot when it came to the jumps and push-ups. My knees and thighs were tight it felt like it was being twisted (almost like good exercise after-cramps) preventing me from doing higher jumps in the hurdle and log jumps. Plus the push-ups! I never was good at doing push-ups. But thanks to Shaun T teaching the proper position and way of doing push-ups made me do my best. But I'm still working on it! By the end of this workout, I was profusely sweating and body was aching. Towel was soaked with sweat and I had to replenish my body with drinking water.

Wow! Only Day 3 and I can say this was the most sweat I had so far! Literally dripping sweat on the floor and body all covered with sweat! I haven't had a hard workout 'till INSANITY! I'd wipe sweat dripping all over my face and drink lots of water in the 30-seconds water break! Rehydrating is a must because you lose a lot of water through sweating!

So this is my Day 3. How was yours? What do you do to ease your body pains aside from any Recovery Formula or like what I do, just let the body heal itself?

Tip: Working out to INSANITY needs to be on a non-slippery floor.

This makes me nervous to see what's up for me on Week 2, and the next weeks to come!

Completed Day 2 (Plyometric Cardio Circuit)! I had to rest a lot especially on the push-ups and basketball drills. My legs were shaking the time I did the last 2 sets. There is a 30-seconds break per set. Take it! It's a must to wipe off your sweat and replenish with drinking water! My sweat was literally dripping onto the floor while working out! And I'm only on my 2nd day! Trying to improvise my diet since I'm not in charge of what to eat most here.

The 1st day of my curiosity & finally the commitment to try out Beachbody Shaun T's Insanity.

Watched the Dig Deeper video where Shaun T, the creator of Insanity, introduces you to the workout program, telling you what the workout will bring you and some tips to work out more efficiently before going to start Day 1, which is the Fit Test.

Before the Fit Test, the first thing to do is to get all the baseline information needed, such as weight, BMI, and body measurements (arms, thighs, waist, etc.) Here are my 1st day baseline information:

Height - 5 ft. 5 in.
Weight - 145 lbs.

Now for Fit Test #1. This is to test out how well your cardio skills are, and are broken down into 8 test exercises. You will be doing the Fit Test every 15 days for the next 60 days. The better the results, means better improvement!

Here is my Day 1 Fit Test #1 Results:
1. Switch Kicks - 36
2. Power Jacks - 42
3. Power Knees - 73
4. Power Jumps - 20
5. Globe Jumps - 6
6. Suicide Jumps - 8
7. Push-Up Jacks - 8
8. Low Plank Oblique - 16

I actually did this after my 12 hour duty. But still, I was commited to try it out already! Now, to think that I'm physically fit and healthy with these results? I don't think so. My scores went down as I go through the Fit Test, and that's not a good thing. But this is only the 1st day. We'll see how things go on the next Fit Test. Not to forget to put in the diet regimen in based on your daily caloric needs.

Let's get ready to dig deeper!

Hi! Welcome to Insanely MaPF! A personal blog journal of mine where I share my journey to having a healthy & fit lifestyle. And first off, with the help of Beachbody Shaun T's INSANITY workout program. In this way, I can also keep track of my progress of digging deep with other fellow people who workout to INSANITY or any type of workout. Not only will I track my progress, I will also be posting up some health/fitness articles, tips, announcements, all for our benefits.

My purpose: I have the benefit for myself of being in the best shape and lifestyle of my life. With added bonus of helping each other to stay committed and motivated to staying fit and healthy.

Yes, it's tough. But there is always something worth the reward after the hardwork.

So, keep "Pressing Play", "Bring It", "Get Fit or Get Out", and "Dig Deeper"! ;)

Let's go get healthy!
